Weymann Jimmie Rodgers Model 890 Model Flat Top Acoustic Guitar (1931), made in Philadelphia, PA, serial # 45584, the earliest serial number I have seen for sale. natural lacquer finish, mahogany back and sides, spruce top; mahogany neck with celluloid fingerboard, original black hard shell case.Overall this is a very nicely preserved and original guitar for its age, now over 90 years along The very thin lacquer finish is original with some minor checking and typical wear including dings, scratches and scuffs. The bridge was reglued on at some point causing there to be a mark around the bridge that is visible. it could be touched up around it or you could get a custom bridge built a little bigger than the original to cover up the glue mark. Some of the pearloid fingerboard is coming up but would be easy to reglue. Has the original famous Weymann tuners. Does not include the original case. I don't want to do much work to it, I want the new owner to have the ability to do what they want given how historic and rare the guitar is.
